Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease and the causes are complex, susceptibility is influenced by environmental and genetic factors. Risk factors for female breast cancer include early menopause, late menarche, late delivery, obesity, a high-fat diet, oral contraceptives and other exogenous estrogens, age, environmental toxins, and alcohol and cigarette consumption.
An important part of breast health is knowing how they normally look and feel. Although regular breast cancer screening is important, mammograms do not diagnose all breast cancers. This means that it is also important to watch for changes in your breasts and to know the signs and symptoms of breast cancer.
Signs and Symptoms
Among the first symptoms of breast cancer is a new mass or lump. A painless, hard mass with irregular borders is more likely to be cancer, although cancerous breast growths can also be tender, soft, and round in shape. They can also cause pain. For this reason, it is important to have any new masses, lumps, or changes in the breasts examined by an experienced health professional.

Treatments
Treatment plans are usually based on the type of breast cancer, its stage, and any special situations.
Most women will have some type of surgery to remove the tumor. Depending on the type of breast cancer and how advanced it is, you may also need other types of treatment, either before or after surgery, or sometimes both.
